LIFE IN YOUR HANDS

Under the "Support for Civil Society Organizations in Ukraine" program, with financial support from @British Embassy Kyiv, the NGO "Salvation Helmet" opened a Temporary Accommodation Center for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Kharkiv. The program was implemented by @crownagents in partnership with @InternationalAlert and in cooperation with @CrownAgentsinUA.

Our IDP Temporary Accommodation Center is a place where people forced to flee their homes due to military actions in the Kharkiv region receive temporary shelter and essential support. The center's activities focus on creating safe living conditions and providing basic resources such as warm housing, food, hygiene products, and medical assistance.

Additionally, the center offers social and psychological support, helping displaced persons adapt to new living conditions, integrate into the local community, and connect with other organizations for additional services. Educational and informational events are also organized here, enhancing awareness and developing skills necessary for rebuilding a normal life.

IMPLEMENTED PROGECTS

The public organization Salvation Helmet implements aid programs for various categories of the population, including support for internally displaced persons, humanitarian assistance, social and educational initiatives, and more.

Rebuilding with Hope

This project aimed at restoring residential buildings in the village of Ruska Lozova, Derhachi District, that were damaged as a result of military actions

Support and development of the team, access to psychological services, organization of training sessions on emergency preparedness, first aid, and psychological assistance

Thanks to the initiatives of women volunteers, we create warm and comfortable conditions for temporarily displaced persons, helping them adapt more quickly to new circumstances

Shoes for Life

The project for the integration of internally displaced persons into society through a training center for shoe production, created to support people affected by the hostilities in Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region
